As of late Colorado has not been having much cold weather or snow. Actually it has been since the late 1800's since this type of season changing has gone on. What does this mean? It means that global warming is making itself more and more obvious.
      Many people think that global warming is not real, or that it will take so long so who cares? Well here in Denver the lack of snow and higher temperatures in December mean that global warming is making itself known. Usually there is snow by Halloween, but here in Denver it has snowed once or twice and it is now December 10. Where is the fear in this statistic?
    Because people have already seen effects of global warming all over the news in these past few years, they dismiss things related to the subject. It also goes the other way, some people haven't seen enough to create emotions about the topic. Sometimes it takes something like seeing a polar bear alone on an iceberg floating to its death to get the gist of global warming. 
     It seems like people still don't really care about global warming. Almost as if they are depending on our government and the higher ups to figure out a creative solution. Since when has it been safe to trust our government as of late? We need to do better at preventing global warming, if that is even possible. Even with all of our going green projects and recycling, global warming could just be a natural process on our planet that cannot be controlled. It is a scary thing to think about, that it is something that is out of our control.
      If it is not snowing in the beginning of December here in Denver, how will the weather be in December of 2020? The fact is that it is rough to predict global warming, we almost just have to sit back, let it happen, and try to figure out solutions as we find out more information.

As most of you that follow this (classmates and teach) know, several top secret government files were leaked to the public and are being published by selected news resources such as the NY Times. Many of these files and cables reference meeting with foreign diplomats, and could potentially ruin ties and allies with other countries. Basically now people know for sure the tactics of the United States when it comes to foreign relations, that is, we try to keep tabs on everyone.
      So what does this mean for our country, is anything at stake. Some argue that this kind of stuff has been known for years and that this will not change anything. My view is that this is false. Many people could be in danger now that these files have been leaked. I also believe that we will lose trust because these "private" diplomatic meetings are now known to the general public. The gossip between countries has been revealed with exact quotes and texts. I am not saying that wars will be started over this, but there will definitely be trust issues when it comes to America's foreign relations. Hopefully it won't be too bad....
